Bigsby loves shiny things, but so do all the other hedgehogs. So he tied his shiny trinkets to a balloon, which also happened to be shiny and went in search or a new home. My grandson loves hedgehogs and one of my daughters has a pet hedgehog named Bigsby, so of course I had to paint a flying hedgehog. I seem to have a thing for flying animals lately. ;)
Oh my gosh, the tiny feet! And just the right amount of fuzzy. Love him! Tragically, I cannot read the text of the note! The tiny key and heart-shaped lock are super cute, too.
ReplyDeleteuh, oh, I forgot to check and make sure you could click for a bigger image. I'm fixing it now. :) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYay! And great touch that it's real notebook paper! So cute.
Deletethanks, and your awesome for checking back!
DeleteWell of course I had to find out what the notes said! (Hehe, sometimes I check back more than once.) ;)
DeleteAaaahhhh! That is a cute hedgehog. He looks so happy. I don't think I have ever touched one. I have touched a porcupine but not a hedgehog. They seem cute. I like those hedgehog snow boot cleaners. I was wondering if you were creating a series of flying animals! Have a great Sunday. Tsup!
ReplyDeletethank you Ces! I've never touched one either. Maura says he feels like a stiff hairbrush, kind of. ;) Myles has never held one either. I have no idea why he is so obsessed with them. Maybe he just likes saying the name Hedgehog.
DeleteHi Karen, one night in New Zealand walking barefoot through the grass (in NZ many people usually go barefoot)
ReplyDeleteI stepped on a small ball, and was a little hedgehog, ha ha!
I felt my foot tickled
This picture I think it's best that you have shown. is my opinion

ReplyDeleteHello Karen, well they let me out of the funny farm and I thought now whom will I visit.... hey well I see that soemthing has bought new spangling oomph into your work. But seriously I larve these floating animals. They are whimsical and beautiful and they just tell me that you should abandon everything and keep on drawing. Never let your talent sit because you've got ooodles of it just hammering to be expressed
ReplyDeletesee you don't tell my nurse I was here she is Helga and has bad tatts :)
I'm so happy to see you out and about Mr. Finnie! We won't let Helga find out. Bad tatts? That's very scary ;)
Deleteahh abandon everything that is not making art I meant :)
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, there are so many time consumers. I feel like I've been spending all of my time learning to make gluten free bread with no time left for art :O you'd be proud, I spent several solid hours working yesterday afternoon and evening. It was glorious! Well, I say solid, more like broken into bits, but mostly productive hours.
DeleteHow delightfully sweet and fun! He is adorable. I love this! I wish it was me he he he he he he! Hope that you are doing well. I will have time to blog once again my friend in July! I can't wait. I will have a little bit of a break! Hugs Honey Bunny!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Buttercup, I am so glad that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope you are staying cool. Although it really hasn't been "hot" here. The weather has been unusually mild for this time of year.
Deletethank you Alex :)
ReplyDeleteHey! How did I miss this?? Ooh, I love hedgehogs...especially those albino ones! Yours is so adorable, Karen. I just hope he doesn't get too close to the balloon. Hehehe... oxox
ReplyDeleteYes, he likes to take chances ;) Adrenaline junky, maybe? I love the albino ones too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen, yes, you're right, I'm having lots of fun, fortunately. I'll keep doing that.
