IF Power and What I've been up to...

Well, I've been quiet again. This is why. I have been working on two book projects. This one is finished and will be available on Amazon soon. It's the first of a series. I am also working on an alphabet book but can't post anything I've done for it yet. It's been a really busy summer. My son turned 18 today and my grandson started kindergarten this week. Wow, time really flies.
I think I wish it would slow down a little ;)

I decided this would work for Illustration Friday's prompt Power, because it's about the power of determination. In the story, Nola is determined to find a coin at that beach. It was a lot of fun to illustrate this story and I can't wait to get started on the next one. I hope everyone had a great summer!

    When I saw the picture of the girl on I.Friday I thought "I would never have thought of a girl, from the word Power. but Karen is really smart, because nothing is more powerful than childhood".
    Ok. and the power of determination in a child, is not discussed.

You rock! Do let us know when they'll be available. I'm thrilled for you! And gosh, it's amazing to know how fast the kids/grandson are growing. I've got a high schooler and jr. high schooler now..no more elementary school.. it's crazy! I am SO thankful for your sweet visits to my blog..you really make my day! I have been keeping busy too. Working on a crazy project right now but there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it's been a good project though. I cannot complain! Have a lovely weekend my friend.     Delightful sweet and fun!!! I have to tell you that I adore that little cat. Reminds me of my Kirby that died about a year and a half ago. I miss him sooo. I'd like to think that he is on some beach with some cute little girl playing! Thanks so much!

      I am okay, drowning at work but managing to come up for air. Hehehehe. It's okay sweetie. We will be here when you are ready to come out and play. Your book is awesome and YES!!! A SENIOR. Tell me about it. I am more stressed and anxious than my daughter. At least she has selected a university. Sometimes it is more difficult if one has many choices, and oh so expensive. This college education better be a real education, not some brainwashing. ITsup!!!

      Cyan's picked a school. I'm just drowning in all the paperwork, testing issues due to his learning disabilities and major community service requirements. It feels like there is more to do every day. LOL oh and expensive..... that is an understatement! Good grief, it feels like my kids will owe money for the rest of their lives ;)

      I'm so ready to play!!!! I miss everyone so much :D

      I wish you could too Bella :D Things will calm down soon, I hope, and then I can get back to the things I love to do instead of filling out financial aid forms, prepping him for tests and helping him apply for every scholarship under the sun. But, it's all worth it, just time consuming.

    Hya Bella and Karen, I am out and playing!! Is it summer yet? The surf was so cold the other day I had snow growing on the tip of my nose - and don't let them tell you all frozen noses look the same - they dont! At first I thought mine was green but then I realised that a passing bird had dropped a small piece of kiwi fruit on it (my nose) Hope you are all well :)
