This is a beautiful illustration, Karen!!! I like the smile on sun's face!!!! oh, sorry I just see the clouds hanging from the sky!!!!! that's very poetic, indeed, congratulations!!!!
Nina! Your characters are sweet, the palette is lovely, the whimsical feel of this piece is wonderful! I really really enjoy this piece!! Congratulations on a hit. Love that the pussycat is reaching towards the water..(action)..so nice!
Well Karen, you know, your work is humming along lately. What fun it is. Let me list some adjectives - joyful playful colourful feelgoodful, splendiferousful! Hmm al adjectives end i n ful, I never knew that :) The clouds are so cool hanging there. The piece flows really well, lots to discover, we gets lots of reasons to explore. As the new zealander's say "I'm giving this tin out of tin!"
So cute! I love the boat and its delicately patterned sail. Love the happy turtle with the seagull on his head! Cat and owl and all the little fishes - so cute! Love the color, too!
Hello Beautiful! I love the suspended clouds! Hehehe. Do you know that once I actually had clouds and stars suspended that way in my office? HAH! I always loved the Owl and The Pussycat. It was a poem we memorized in elementary school. It was taught by my sister who was also my teacher. I love the color theme here. I think the edited version is the one I chose? The one with the water shimmering.
Hello gorgeous!!! I love that you had clouds and stars hanging from the ceiling in your office. It sounds magical and at the very least, like a great conversation starter :) Thanks so much for the kind comments. It means a lot to me.
Your Owl and Pussycat are just great...and I love the little touches of the clouds hanging by threads and that serene moon face! All a fine interpretation of a classic!
I always thought 'elegant fowl' was a peculiar description for one so enamored. Reading it, it's obvious we are referring to a bird, but when heard out loud, it's easy to slip into "elegant foul"...
I'm with Cindy, I like the patterned sail a lot. nice fish too! .
Isn't it funny how sometimes we hear things one way, only to discover that they are not really what we envisioned them to be? ;) Thanks so much Richard. I really appreciate your kind comment :D Now I'm going to think about "elegant foul" every time I see or hear the poem ;)
Thanks for the sweet visit, Karen..you rock, sister!! Hope you're doing well and I just am loving this piece. Like I said before, your style is movin' and shakin' and it's really super..keep up this wonderful work, my friend
oh yes, tea time, and we can invite Ces :D Thanks so much Mita. I'm so glad you came to visit. I love your new avatar. Another lovely picture of a beautiful person. XOXOXO
I am so there in this illustration! It is sooooo very sweet and soothing to me. Any child would love this! How wonderful. Great job. How can I get a copy? Great work K. Sending you love today and everyday.
Hey Karen :) How's it goin' love? I hope your silence means you are working hard on a big project! As long as you aren't slacking off! Anyway I'll be back on board, I am back at work full time so I can come out of the wardrobe (closet doen't sound quite correct)
You crack me up! I actually woke up this morning thinking that I would email you today and here you are!!! How did you know that I was thinking of you? Are you a tad psychic? Love the cockney accent. It works for you ;) Glad you are able to get out of the "wardrobe" for awhile.
Hey Darling, Is there any picture that you would like to trade for?? Is there something on the blog that you would like? Please pick two and let me know which two you would like. Sending you hugs and wishes and kisses. me
Toooooo funny, Karen!!! I love the story of your poor husband's brisket, though I know that lab must've gotten the dickens from him. Gosh, that's a rough one to wait all day and have it nabbed like that! Thanks for poppin' by..I hope you're well my friend!
Oh yeah, it was unforgettable. My husband never forgave that dog ;) I'd say poor dog, but he caused lots of destruction. It's kind of hard to feel bad for him. He got the brisket after all. A burned mouth too probably, but he didn't seem to mind. I've never seen anything eat that much meat, that fast. LOL
Comment résister à la vue de cette oeuvre superbe... Elle me laisse très songeuse et elle a le mérite de me rendre heureuse.
