Here is the finished version of Satellite for Illustration Friday. I'm headed to bed for some much needed sleep now. Thanks for visiting! Comments are appreciated.
Thanks everyone, oh and Andrew, I even went back and softened the edges of the Satellite because after I went to bed last night I could hear you reminding me of hard and soft edges, which, for some reason, I always forget when I am working digitally.
Ah, Karen, in my previous comment did not understand, because as I find it hard to read in English I did not realize that your illustration was not finished!. It is very beautiful and very well done. congratulations. Good for you, because I could see unfinished work as well as if it had been! Congratulations again.
ooo Karen! I'm so glad I checked back today. You finished it and it is fabulous! Love the hair texture... WOW and his PJs are so cool! Nice work. Great mood with the clouds and colors! I saw on another blog that you met Susan. That is so cool. She has been in my prayers. I'm sure you told her that we miss her.
makes me think about how we all are like children regarding outer space...we know so little about it and there's no limit to our imagination. Great work.
WOW, Karen. I must repeat. WOW! This is lovely...it has such a great feeling to it...very peaceful. I hope you're very proud and happy about this piece. Love the highlight of the globe just to the right of his knee...and as always, you have weight and substance in your characters. He is sitting on that cloud and in some very cool pajamas! Wonderful! No, you are not senile..it comes with having children right? Wow, 15! Driving...oh my! I have yet to reach that point. I hope you have a great 4th of July weekend, Karen...get a lot of well deserved rest and can't wait to see those finished pieces you promised. : ) Just take your time, we'll be here for sure!
Monsieur wishes you a wonderful day, Karen! Thank you for stopping by and checking in on him. : ) And thank you for your kind visit - yes, sparklers were THE BEST! I have so many good memories of them..hope you had a wonderful fourth! And I look forward to seeing all of your pieces that I know you're working on. : )
WHOAAAA WOW! This is an exceedingly fantastic piece, Karen!!! Was it the underpainting? Whatever it was, there is such beautiful depth to the sky. The celestial glow is excellent! And the texture in the hair and clouds is absolutely dreamy! WOW!
