Ok, I think I am finally done. Too late for Illustration Friday since today is Friday and a new word. The ants were little buggers and took longer to do than I had imagined they would, but I am pretty happy with the outcome, even though I think I could keep working on it if I wanted to. I am making myself stop for now. The ants remind me a little of the dancing, singing Raisins form some old commercial, but they are pretty cute. Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment if you have time, because I love to read them!
Heeeyyy!! I'm here first!! Can I have that cupcake??! Hahahaa... Well, I was right. This is, without a doubt, totally SCRUMPTIOUSSS!! I love the expressions on those ants (a lot like me now!).
ReplyDeleteYou know, most of the time I come to visit you, I end up feeling peckish. Better visit that fridge! (^_^) ~hugs~
hmmmm, is this feeling "peckish" a good thing? Thanks Amalia you are so sweet and supportive. Hey, I like the new avatar picture.
ReplyDeleteOf course 'peckish' is good! It means your work looks so wonderfully tempting and makes me want to eat yummy snacks I don't really deserve! Hahahaa..!! :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteWOW! Karen! Awesome!! I really love the cupcake...can I have one?! Thank you so much for participating in the Picnic prompt...very cool of you for spending time to do so. I love how this turned out! The ants have such personality and do have that California Raisin commercial feel - they've got charisma! And that watermelon is so real I can taste it! Thanks again..it's a treat to see your work and to see the fun in this piece!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome Shirley, it was a fun prompt and I couldn't resist. That's it!, the California Raisins, I couldn't remember, I just kept thinking while I was working on them that they looked familiar, when I was done all I could see were those dancing raisins. Funny the things that stick in my head....
