WIP finished

Ok, I think I am finally done. Too late for Illustration Friday since today is Friday and a new word. The ants were little buggers and took longer to do than I had imagined they would, but I am pretty happy with the outcome, even though I think I could keep working on it if I wanted to. I am making myself stop for now. The ants remind me a little of the dancing, singing Raisins form some old commercial, but they are pretty cute. WIP_Picnic

This is what I am working on this week.  Just a fun piece that will work for more than one theme.  I hope to use it for several prompts and for my portfolio. I'd like to do more, but just in case I run out of time I tried to make it work for more than one. I haven't had time to participate as much as I like to. I am also working on some older pieces, finishing those up and reworking a couple of others.  Maybe I can finish this one up tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by. Something New

I'm finally posting something new. This was going to be my post for Illustration Friday last week, but I didn't get it finished. Pretty ironic considering the theme was "Early".  I haven't been able to get much done for the past several weeks, but now that school is out for the summer I hope that I will be able to make up for lost time in the next few months. Time to get serious again. I have joined a critique group and have several new pieces I'm working on for my portfolio. I am also still working on my recipe piece. Things are taking me much longer to get done right now. Just too much going on I guess. Maybe I'll even get my IF entry done this week. WIP Circus pt 2 continued

Here is the second days work on my Circus/Carnival Series. I'm actually almost finished with it. It needs just a few more little details.  This is what I had planned to post yesterday, but never got around to the posting part. I actually have most of it done now and I hope to add the finished piece by the end of the day. Thanks for visiting and for taking the time to let me know what you think.

MAD_ Mystic

This is my finished illustration for the prompt Mystic for Monday Artday. I may work on it more later, I'd like to use it for my portfolio. I'll have to see how I feel about it tomorrow. I didn't have to babysit due to snow so I worked it straight through. I may decide something doesn't look right later. But yeah, I finished! Now on to Illustration Friday... Please let me know what you think. I really appreciate your input.

Mystic - day 2

Progress, yeah! I love how much faster I work since I started doing Illustration Friday and Monday Artday. They have both pushed me to work faster and reach for new ideas. Thank you all for your comments and input, you really help me to know when I am going in the right direction with my work and I really appreciate it. It also makes my day to hear from you!

Mystic

Work in progress for Monday Artday's prompt "Mystic". I'm also working on portfolio pieces. So I hope to use this one for both. It is based on my best friends daughter (the one with curly red hair and the attitude) and a made up group of friends. I'm hoping she won't mind being the muse and focal point. Maybe, I'll get it done for Monday Artday too. I had a hard time deciding what to do for Mystic, but that's why I love random prompts! They make you think and draw things you might not normally do. It's great exercise artistically for me and it keeps me drawing most days.

website/portfolio

So I have been working on my website trying to make some much needed changes and it's still a work in progress. Check it out and let me know what you think. I know I need to do some group images of kids with different expressions and at least one other sequential group. But at the same time I also probably have too many images. I am also trying to keep it pretty simple.
