Thank you all for your input! I have corrected the sphere, I think so anyway, no contacts today.
A special thanks to Shirley NgBenitez, for your help with this and with my website when I was updating it. Your help was invaluable and I really appreciate it. Also to Krista Hamrick and Susan Mordigal and everyone else who commented, you are all very kind.
Karen, looks amazing! The original really looked good, but when you compare to this one, it did make a difference - great! Thanks for the info about the book, got both your comments on my site - I didn't realize it was a series, so I'll have to start at the beginning. I listen to audio books a lot while working and doing menial household tasks - helps me keep lots of books going at once! Thanks for the offer for a tutorial. I actually just got PS a week ago and have been playing around with it, don't think I'll ever go 100% digital, but I'm never saying never - I'll let you know when I'm ready, sounds great! Also to you, Krista and anyone else out there around "our age"...I got the strangest prescription for contacts almost a year ago. They're called "mono-vision". A few people out there have this naturally, but it's where one eye sees distance and the other close-up. I was extremely doubtful at first, but I was able to do a trial for free and if it didn't work out, was going to do something else. I was amazed it works beautifully, you're brain fuses together the two visions, so it's like having perfect vision for each! So when you're ready for a new contacts script ask your eye doc, it's worth a try! I still mostly use my glasses while working, but the mono-vision is the best I've had so far...
ReplyDeletethat sphere looks a million times better than the last piece. Great job, what an interesting illustration!
ReplyDeletenicee rowks you have thanks to comment on my blog
ReplyDeletewhat a great picture
ReplyDeleteHey Karen! I relly liked the first illustration with the warped sphere. I thought it was morphing into something... but now seeing the revised.... I love this one. The girls were right! Very great piece! Suitable for a portfolio addition.
ReplyDeleteIt is so kind of you to mention me, Karen, you are so generous. I'm always happy to comment..I think the orb looks fantastic here! This is a wonderful piece for your portfolio of work!
ReplyDeleteWell, it does make a difference! I liked the original one because it was quirky. I like this one better because it realates better compositionally, eg mirrors the "Mystics" face and forehead better and adds a nice stable balance.
