Flying

Monday Art Day's theme last week was flight. Unfortunately, I haven't had a very productive week so far. I have my grandson full time again for a while and I am trying to get acclimated to having a toddler full time again. So this is a couple of days late, but it's done, so yay!
I don't normally post information about my grandson on this blog, but for those of you who are following his blog I wanted to let you know that we received some really good news about his genetic testing recently. So, if you are interested I posted the information there. Thanks for your interest and your prayers. And thanks for visiting and for taking the time to comment. As always, I appreciate it so much.

  1. Hya Karen, congrats on the good news about the tests!

As far as this work, it's pretty magical. Just great stuff happening in it. Takes you back to childhood .... not that I ever strapped a newspaper on my back, I wasn't that smart :)

  9. Here I come to save the daaaaayyyy! Oh, that's great. How did you DO that with the newspaper??! It looks awesome. I was trying to figure out who that guy is smiling in the newsprint.

Yay to the news! I had never heard of LCA before. Thank you for teaching me something new. There is hope, and I will keep all my fingers and toes crossed. Good luck with the adjustments, and enjoy having the little one around.

  10. Thanks everyone, and Bella, for the newspaper I used a picture of a newspaper and cut and pasted it in over my already painted cape which I did with grays, then aged it in photoshop, honestly I'm not sure who the guy is, a musician I believe. oh and I warped it in photoshop to make it look flowy underneath. She was fun.
