IF_Detective

This is my entry for this weeks Illustration Friday prompt Detective. I'm still working on my tutorial for the previous illustration, trying to find time to setup my new computer, and to learn to use a Mac. I've always used a PC. For some reason my husband has always had a thing against anything Apple. I don't really get it, but he actually bought me one this weekend. Yay!!!!!! He's very supportive, except for the occasional "it's not my favorite" comment and it was incredibly sweet of him because his computer is sooooooooooooo old and outdated.  New toys are so much fun. Thanks for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment!

  1. Hello Karen, congrats on the new toy!

As far as your work, you know it's amazing how it is going ahead in leaps and bounds. This is very good, I hope you know that.

Your husband is obviously on the right track giving you so much support.

  9. Oooooooh, this is so neat! Lotsa great details here -- the blurred tree trunk makes for very nice depth. I like the glint of sunshine through the leaves and the coffee mug stain on the magazine. Delicious, all of it!

  13. Ester, yes, I altered a brush I found on Brusheezy (I think). I've had it for over a year so I can't remember for sure. I also make them from photos, then paint into them, saves time plus I love mixing elements like that into my work.
