They Draw and Cook

They Draw and Cook is having a contest for Kraft Foods.  Check it out, there are lots of great recipes and illustrations.  It ends tomorrow night at midnight, so you'd better get crackin if you want to do one.  I just entered this recipe.  It was a nice break from the tedious project that I have been working on.  It's an unusual sandwich and my grandson loves it!  But he loves tomatoes and asparagus.  He can't wait for the summer garden and fresh heirloom tomatoes.  He sneaks out and eats the grape tomatoes off the vine.

Sorry I have been so quiet, it's been busy around here, but I'll be back soon.  I hope to start posting new work more often over the summer months.

  1. LOVE the concept, Karen..the magician's hat! Super clever..I think the Kraft people will love this. How fun to see the ingredients jumping out of the hat to form the sandwich. Great great job! I think this really shows off all of your talents..from concept to execution. it's great to hear about your sweet grandson's tomato-love. :

  29. Oh noooooooo! Aww, phooey! So sorry to hear about your stolen records. ARGH! How does that happen at a hospital?! They should, like, offer you free elective surgery to make up for it. Free anesthesia for life. Gah!

  30. OOOh my Dear K, We can have none of this sickness thing! Be healed now in the name of Jesus!! I am so serious. Sometimes we just go and go and go and we do come to the end of ourselves and the body just needs a break. Please rest. Rest from worry and stress cause they totally take a toll on the spirit, soul and body. Sometimes it's all to much! Sending you much prayer today and rest for soul. We'll still be here waiting for you with the lights on. Love you Honey Bunny!

  33. I keep thinking of you. I hope you are feeling better and things are easing up a bit. Stay away from mangoes, even though they are my favorite fruits. Sigh. Summer is always busy for work. Take care, sunshine! (I see Sunshine Hill on the side bar directly as I type this comment and I thought of you as the sunshine. Hehehe. Take care Karen! Tsup!

    1. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts Ces. I feel better, I am just really tired. I just can't seem to do anything. Having some tests done, I'm sure it's just exhaustion and stress, to which I am sure you can relate ;)

  34. Oh about those records, they have government regulations to the wazoo but nothing can stop human stupidity. A clinic sent out my laboratory results and history to somebody else and I got theirs! So stupid. I filed a formal complaint with their HIPPA officer.

    1. They've been great about it. They told us immediately, went to the press, and they even gave us free identity theft watch service for a year. It's just kind of a pain. I feel bad for them. It had to have hit them hard for so many peoples records to have gone missing like that.
