So, I think I am done with this one. At least for tonight I am. Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think! I do appreciate what you have to say. : )
Hey Karen! I love this so much!!! Fantastic angle and layout! Your textures and colors really make this pop! Very fairy taleish! You are so fantasic with detail and the human form.... those hands are amazing!! Glad you are having more time for yourself. I can feel the contentment and relaxed creativity coming through. Hey what happened to "Immovable". Was it moveable after all? :o)
Thanks Jack, Monica and Andrea, ummmmmm, unfortunately I didn't have time for immovable unless I can speed paint and get it done tonight and tomorrow ;)...you never know. I'm trying to work on "fully fleshed pieces" right now and I find it hard to get them done in time for Illustration Friday unfortunately. I tend to rush for IF and not do my best work.
Andrew, thanks so much for all your support and for being such a great friend. Love the play on words, he,he,he, you crack me up! I was just watching a movie that was made in Australia and it just "looked" hot! I'd probably melt there, it only reaches the low 90's here and I don't want to go outside.
Karen! Wow, where have I been? I'm so sorry for the delay -this is an amazing series of posts...I really, really like the composition and how you've added the touches that bring this piece together so splendidly. I tell you - you take risks, and this worked wonderfully..you should be very proud. I love the texture on the clock face - and you did a great job with the carriage having it sit on the face as so. Well done..and I concur..it's great to have you back working so diligently and sharing your wonderful work with us. Hope you're feeling well!
awww, thanks Ms.Shirley, I appreciate that. I am feeling sooooo much better. Still walking a little funny, but comparatively it's a minor thing. It's nice to hear from you. You always say the sweetest things.:)
It's magical, delicious fabulous and magnificent all at the same time!!!! Now how do you do that???? I love it. I love the way you see thing and the way you think. It's amazing!! great work.
What a relief to be able to call it a day! Btw, this was a favorite story of mine as a young girl- how about those glass slippers, huh? Looks like you had fun with this! Can't wait to see what other great things you have up your talented sleeves! :o)
My dearest Karen, you did incredibly with Cinderella here! I am now sitting here, mimicking her *GASP* and and thinking,"My, my! I wonder how late that K.H. Whitaker must have stayed up to finish this... because I would!!!"
Krista, you are too kind :) Hugs!!! Andrew, dear, I am posting something new tonight, just for your viewing pleasure ;) Sorry for the delay...
Amalia, I do stay up late to finish, often, mmmm, yes, pretty sure I was up till after midnight for this one, but I'm a lightweight, about 1:00 am and my eyes start crossing. :)
Thank you for poppin' by, Karen! It's awesome when you visit...thank you for your friendship and kind words! Hope you have been well and had a good labor day weekend. Did you get to enjoy some YOU time? : )
Hi Karen. Well, finally the result is magnificent. I always say that I like to see an illustration process, almost more than the final result. (Anyway I like to see the finished work) but I think there is nothing like seeing the process of learning. Thank you very much.
