IF_Expired

This weeks prompt for Illustration Friday was Expired. I was stumped all week. I just couldn't think of anything I wanted to do for the prompt.  I finally decided on this one and made it just in time. We have had quite a few pet funerals and now pretty much have our own pet cemetery. Unfortunately most pets have pretty short lifespans and at one point our home was like a farm. My kids love animals, all kinds, we've had everything from pocket bunnies to snakes over the last 25 years. I hate posting so late. Tomorrow is Friday again! Anyway, thanks for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate it and enjoy reading what you have to say.

  9. Beautifully rendered Karen, like Krista said, her hair is just gorgeous. What a sweet image, one we can all relate to, we too have said goodbye to many dear animal family members. It's a shame our pets have such short lives, it's so important to enjoy every moment. It's so nice to especially bury a fish as so many get flushed down the loo!

  15. Great painting! Her pose is true, and I love the colors. When I opened this up, my daughter thought this was a real photo at first. Sad for the pets, though. Oh, that reminds me. I read a story about someone who had a pet cobra only to discover one day that it had escaped. Ack! They practically tore the apartment building apart and evacuated everyone for several MONTHS and sealed up the building in hopes of starving it to death. Yikes!

  16. wow, Bella what a crazy story! Who keeps a pet cobra? good grief, my kids had a pet boa, but I made them get rid of it when my grandson was born, just too scary to worry about, silly maybe, but scary kind of too.
