IF_Rescue

This weeks prompt for Illustration Friday is Rescue. Just a quick one that I did today since I have several other projects going too. I spent about four hours on this one. Now I'm off to work on Monkey for Monday Artday. I ended up cooking and baking all day yesterday so today I am making up for lost time before the week begins again. We are preparing for the 8th grade CRCT's, yuk, I hate this time of year. Anyway, tomorrow I have homeschool, test prep, my grandson for at least half of the day, and a trip to Whole Foods so any artwork will have to be done today! Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment because reading them makes my day.

  4. Amazing Karen - and you say you're not fast - HAH! I could maybe do a sketch of this beautiful kittie in four hours! Those eyes are amazing, I wish I could adopt them all-just breaks your heart.

What is the CRCT? I'm guessing it's similar to our state test, the CMT (Connecticut Mastery Test). I think the tests have gone a bit too far these days, but....sigh....

Good luck with all your projects! I HAD a good idea for Monkey, but I just have to pass on it 'cause of other things. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  7. Hey Baby Girl,
I was so touched by your comments just a moment ago. How sweet of you to say those things, but I want to encourage you about your beautiful work. Your style is soooooooo amazingly different and refreshing. I think your work has a wonderful retro feel that I ADORE! you are doing something that I see no one else out here doing and that's what makes it stand out even more. You are not to be compared with others and we are not going to start today!!! he he he he! This is what the Good Lord has put inside of you and you shine at it with each and every illustration you do. This is one of the marks that you will leave on the world and let me tell you it's a BEAUTIFUL mark!

  16. Ireland would be lovely..I've never been, and I would just live vicariously through Monsieur's travels. Oh, the places he could go! : ) Thanks for your visit Karen..it was good to bring Monsieur back again..I'm getting rusty! But you know, he is a mouse and he may be traveling on a small airplane..he may not be able to take taller companions, so it seems he's on a solo mission.. : ) Have a wonderful weekend and Easter, Karen! I'll be back!
