  17. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! How can they send you home with that thing still in there? Ugh. Why was there no ENT doctor on call. Sigh. My goodness. Yes, if there is a hole, they'd fill it up with something. The things I have seen!!! Glad he is oaky and I really hope they did not puncture the ear drum. Little boys, sigh...and girls too! Happy New year, nevertheless, and Happy Birthday to your daughter. Oh my, you were quite busy one New Year's day, weren't you? Thank you for being a wonderful friend. Tsup!

  18. No, there was no ENT on call yesterday and today all the offices are still closed for the holiday, so it will be in there one more day. I looked at it with an ear scope, I've had one since my kids were little. One of my daughters use to keep ear infections and she couldn't feel them until they were horrific so the doctor showed me what to look for and had me check them weekly. It appears to be a small puncture. Hopefully we will get in tomorrow. I chose not to take him back to the ER today. They said that they would call in an ENT but they wanted to numb his ear and try to get it out before they would call one in and I just decided the trauma was not worth it and it would be best to leave it alone and wait until the office was open. I hope I made the right decision. He was just terrified yesterday and I couldn't see putting him through all that again.

  22. Ahh I have decided to stalk Amalia, trouble is I had to google "How To Stalk" it kept on coming up with gardening sites that raved on about air cuttings and splices and using root making compounds.

Ahh I guess I will never make the grade!

Hey Karen. I hope you aren't having a rest here! None of this holidaying stuff, back to work :)

But Seriously, HAPPY NEW YEAR, I hope this one will be full of tie dying and print making and the first of many children books contracts.

Gee it;s going to be tough sharing that Tomie prize between yourself Shirley and Heidi but I'm sure they will find a way :)

  23. Aaaawww! Oh no! Perhaps it has become moist due to the cerumen. Aaaaawww. I hope he is not in pain. It may be better to do it when he is sedated so he will be still and they can safely remove the playdough. I am so sorry!

P.S. Expect something in the mail for your son.

    Tsup!!

  24. Yes, he seems to be in some pain, but it's not constant. Unfortunately they can't do the procedure for another week.

That is so sweet Ces!!! thank you :)

And OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, Ms. Whitaker, you have very lovely nuts. They are stunningly gorgeous, and I KNOW you made Ces's heart swell up with happiness.

Here's to more creating in 2012!

  29. Okay I second that. I hope you are well.

Did I ever tell when I was two I stuck a long point plastic bullet about three inches up my right nostril and it totally dissappeared!

    yes, I thought not!

I hope the play dough extrication went exceedingly bociferously!

    see you

    PS hello Ces :)

    1. Oh, a plastic bullet sounds like a really fun extraction Andrew. My son put a foam packing bead in his nose when he was a toddler. It was quite a booger to get out too. ;)

  30. Awwww, you guys are so wonderful! Thank you for your concern and well wishes. Yes the play dough extrusion, though dramatic, went well. Myles had the entire staff at Children's entertained. He is such a character. Then when he came out of the anesthesia he decided he did not want to leave and screamed hysterically telling my mother-in-law and I to leave him there so he could go back to sleep. He said he would come home later. After he calmed down the nurses seemed to find it charming. I on the other hand found it exhausting :) All this silliness for a tiny piece of play dough! But his hearing has been saved and everything is as it should be now ;) Now I have to get back to work!
