So, here is the colored version of the sketch that I did for IF's prompt Twirl. I actually made it before midnight on a Thursday! ;)
I think that I got lucky and he works for forward as well as twirl. He is going to be part of the artwork on a valentines card/mailer. I am so bad about marketing that I am trying to push myself to make a more diligent effort at it. I would just paint and draw all of my time away if I could and leave the marketing to the wind ;) You all are so supportive. I appreciate all of your comments on the sketch. Thanks for stopping by :)
Karen everything you do is so well done that, you do not need anything more than show it to sell
ReplyDeletethe wind will surely be a breeze that will gladden your heart, full of joy.
kiss and good luck. this card will be a success!!!! :) :) :) :)))))))))))))))))
You are very generous and sweet Roberto. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute! When I saw it I actually said "Aw" out-loud! :) Also it's gorgeous in it's simplicity; extremely well done.
ReplyDeletethank you Jennifer! I say awww out loud a lot when I am looking at peoples IF entries :)
DeleteAhh for me the piece of cake are the hearts on the elephant's forehead. That wonderful visual association between the elephant and the balloons reinforced by the shapes (and the tied tail!)
ReplyDeleteThose patterns on the balloons are the second piece of cake (can I have two?)
I guess I can - one for twirl and one for forward :)
Is it the weekend yet?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAargh I hope so! :)
I'll send you a whole cake Andrew ;) Thank you for your comment. I have missed you. Yes, it is Friday! TGIF :)
DeleteAwww... so sweet!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, so very cute! I love the way you colored the elephant. Great illustration!
ReplyDeletethank you Angel
DeleteOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhh! Cutie cutie cuuute! What a cute elephant and little boy.I like the position of the elephants's feet, as if her is standing on an invisible steptool! I also like the face of the little boy. Ah I am bad about Valentine's Day cards too. Heck, I am bad with any holiday. I did not even send any Christmas card nor mail birthday cards last year. I hope you get your mailers ready in time.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Ces. I'm trying to get them ready to go out on Monday, which really only gives them a week to get there. I'm loving coming over to check out your nuts. I'll be by later to see whats new.
DeleteYou are just awesome, Karen. That elephant is soooo cute! I want one! Imagine what the neighbors would say... :))
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a happy Valentine's day this month. oxx

DeleteYes, unfortunately, I still do :(
ReplyDelete:( well, I love you and your artwork and I would miss it and you soooooooo much if you were to stop. But, I understand feeling as though it is kind of an obsession/addiction. I suppose that it is in a way... we do it because we must, because it makes us feel better and because it allows us to express ourselves.
ReplyDeleteLook at that darling elephant! Love the hearts on the forehead. Thanks for following my blog.
