This image is from my book, Farmer Brown Sleeps In. I have now sent it to six agents and have two rejections, both nice ones. Even though they may be form rejections (I'm not really sure if they are or not) they are polite and encouraging. So, for now anyway, my plan is that every time I get a rejection I will send it out to a new agent, until I run out of agents anyway. :)
Are you also sending it directly to publishers? It's probably harder for an unpublished author/illustrator to get an agent than a publisher. You have of course researched these folks to find out what they're looking for, and belong to SCBWI, right? This is a FABULOUS cow (and I love all your illustrations)! Best of luck!
